The Photo Gallery contains albums covering our guild workshops and events. It is also place where our members can show off their work. If you are a member of the guild and would like to post picture(s) of your work to appear in our Gallery, the directions appear below.

How to send photos to post in the member's gallery

One of the albums in the gallery is reserved exclusively for the display of photos of our guild members' work. Your work can be displayed here too! Here are the steps to get your photos online:

1. The photo must be in digital format. If you have a digital camera you are already there. If you have a print photo, it needs to be scanned into digital format. (A discussion of how to scan photos is best covered by contacting your friendly family techie) Either way, digital camera or scan, you end up with a computer file that contains the photo image.
   Note on image format and size. The ideal image format for web display is JPEG. If you send the image file in a different format, it will be converted before it is put into the gallery album. The ideal size is under 1meg (around 1,000kb). If the file is really big, it may never make it through the email. Email providers often impose limits on the total size of an email message. If you exceed the limit the email will may be deleted by your ISP or ours.
    
2. Send the photos by attaching them to an email message. How exactly this is done is specific to the email software that you use. For example, Yahoo mail has an "attach files" button and Eudora has an "Attach File" option on the Message menu. Whatever the option is called in your email program, once you select to attach a file, you will need to BROWSE to locate the file on your computer. If you need help attaching the photo file, get your friendly family techie to assist you.
   Please limit the number of photos you send to five per member. You can include a one line description for each photo in the text of your email.
    
3. Send the email to photos@lastejedoras.org

 Periodically, the photos sent via email will be posted to the gallery album. This does not happen automatically it requires human intervention. When the pictures are in the album you will receive an email telling you it has been completed.
